Sundance is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Inbound Logistics Manager to join our team. Sundance is a leading omni-channel specialty retailer with headquarters located in Salt Lake City, UT. Summary
The Inbound Logistics Manager will oversee the coordination of inbound shipments with our network of global freight forwarders and domestic carriers. They will act as a primary point of contact for our warehouse, sourcing, and inventory partners and provide clear communication regarding delivery status with the appropriate internal team.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with international freight forwarders to manage transportation activities, including shipping and customs clearance. Manage freight forwarders, customs brokers, and related transportation agencies for all overseas shipments.
- Manage the import/export processes to ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign government laws and regulations including the classification of all goods with U.S. Customs.
- Manage transportation for the domestic carrier network of providers for US-based suppliers.

- Drive cost-effective transportation decisions through route optimization and effective container utilization, while maintaining on-time delivery.
- Lead all carrier pricing negotiations and contract management efforts; negotiate competitive ocean & air freight agreements.
- Establish KPIs that drive competitive costs and service as well as create quarterly reporting to the business.
- Work with 3rd party invoice audit company to ensure accurate billing.
- Regular, predictable attendance and punctuality are required in this role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (Logistics, Supply Chain, Business) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience in the Logistics industry.
- 7-10 years of international transportation and import experience.
- Demonstrated ability to build spreadsheets and analytical reports (budgets, forecasting, production, etc.)
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and ERP systems
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to maintain/leverage industry relationships.
