DMi Partners is seeking an In-house Counsel with 5+ years of strong transactional and commercial experience either in a law firm or in-house. In this role, you will report to the COO but work closely with all members of senior management. Your focus will be processing and organizing commercial contracts to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and agreement terms. You will embrace technology, like CLM software, to accomplish this with speed, efficiency, and accuracy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- You will draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts and agreements
- You'll manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures with a focus on privacy and data security laws
- You will provide accurate, relevant, and timely advice to your supervisor and other members of staff on a variety of legal topics that relate to the business sector and their services
- You'll ensure compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business
- You will promote legal, compliance, and risk management best practices throughout the company
- You'll be communicating with and managing any third-party bodies, such as external counsel or auditors
- You will design and deliver legal training to the company
- You will stay up to date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect DMi Partners and digital marketing
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- You have 5+ years' experience as a transactional attorney
- You have a JD from an accredited law school and active license to practice law
- You have experience in Business & commercial law
- You have experience with privacy and data security laws.
- You work well independently and collaboratively
- You work well under pressure, can handle multiple assignments, and have the flexibility to assist the team in meeting client demands on accelerated schedules
- You're an excellent negotiator and possess the skills to communicate effectively with legal and business leaders internally and externally.
- You have experience with a CLM software.
Salary 90k-110k
