Job Summary
Provide legal advice on contracting matters including drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts for our hospitals, affiliated companies, medical groups, supply chain management (SCM) and third-party vendors. This position is responsible for providing high-quality, strategic legal advice to LVHN's internal business units with a focus on SCM. Beyond these responsibilities, this position will work closely with Senior Corporate Counsel and other members of the Legal Department on a variety of strategic, regulatory and other LVHN matters and activities.

•Review, negotiate and draft/edit a high volume of corporate contracts quickly and efficiently in line with LVHN
•Provide legal counsel and support by partnering with internal business partners, SCM, subject-matter experts and in-house legal teams relating to contracts and contract-related requests, including negotiations, drafting, terminations and issue resolution
•Collaborate with Senior Corporate Counsel to assist in evaluating and improving LVHN’s contracting process, including harmonizing and rationalizing templates, building and refining playbooks, identifying and adopting best practices, developing and delivering legal contracting training, and supporting department improvement initiatives in order to streamline LVHN's contracting processes, with an emphasis on contract timeliness, accuracy and quality
•Directly engage, in a hybrid environment, with in-house legal, risk management, audit and compliance teams and serve as their long-term, trusted legal advisor for contract negotiations
•Effectively provide and coordinate legal support in the above areas while demonstrating independent initiative, contributing as a member of a cross-functional team, and collaborating with business and Legal Department colleagues on key matters
Qualifications

Education - Required
•Juris Doctor ABA approved law school with admission to (and current good standing with) the bar of at least one state or the District of Columbia
Experience - Required
•3+ years’ experience in relevant areas in a law firm setting, or in a healthcare related in-house legal setting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required
•Strong transactional skills, including experience in drafting and negotiating complex terms and conditions, attention to detail, organization, and ability to take on multiple responsibilities while prioritizing competing projects
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Licenses - Required
•Attorney in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
Lift and carry 7 lbs., continuous sitting >67%, frequent keyboard use/repetitive motion, frequent fine motor activity/wrist position deviation.
