In-House Counsel

Muha Meds is a leading marijuana company operating in Michigan and California. We are committed to providing high-quality products and services to our customers. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced In-House Counsel to join our team.

Job Description:

As our In-House Counsel, you will be responsible for a wide range of legal duties. This includes forming, dissolving, and merging different business entities, forming exclusive rights partnerships between entities, and handling trademark and patent applications on behalf of the entities. You will also assist in filing taxes of all entities, arranging contracts between companies we do business with or any of our subsidiaries, and assigning company NDAs.

Responsibilities:

- Form, dissolve, and merge different business entities.

- Form exclusive rights partnerships between entities.

- Apply, register, and delete trademark and patent applications on behalf of the entities.

- Assist in filing taxes of all entities.

- Arrange contracts between companies we do business with or any of our subsidiaries.

- Assign company NDAs between other subsidiaries, individuals, or companies we do business with.

- Stay up to date on Federal and State compliance revolving cannabis, hemp, and other high-risk consumer goods to ensure minimal liability and no exposure to damages.

- Self-brief on all lawsuits, or raids around the country with similar products, and tighten up our paperwork accordingly for preventive measures.

- Assist in escrow proceedings, and sales of assets/businesses.

- Work closely with CPA to keep all books, taxes up to date.

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

- Licensed to practice law in Michigan and/or California.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate law, preferably with a focus on the cannabis industry.

- Strong understanding of federal and state compliance laws related to cannabis, hemp, and other high-risk consumer goods.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
