Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced In-House Building Code Inspector to join our dynamic team. As an In-House Building Code Inspector at Boxabl, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our modular homes and components are in compliance with various state Building Codes, including a focus on the 2021 California editions of the IRC, IBC, UPC, NEC, IMC, and other relevant codes. You will work closely with our design and engineering teams to guarantee code compliance for residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of our modular homes and components to verify compliance with state Building Codes, with a particular emphasis on the 2021 California editions of the IRC, IBC, UPC, NEC, IMC, etc.
• Collaborate closely with our design and engineering teams to assist in achieving compliance with Building Codes for product designs across multiple states, including Nevada, California, Florida, Texas, and New York.
• Continuously audit our production processes to ensure ongoing code compliance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Building Codes and regulations, and proactively incorporate changes into our manufacturing and assembly procedures.
• Conduct audits of existing and proposed building designs to ensure plan compliance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a building inspector in Nevada, California, Florida, Texas, or New York.
• Ideally, experience in plan approvals for site-built or modular residential homes.
• In-depth knowledge of the 2021 California editions of the IRC, IBC, UPC, NEC, IMC, and other relevant codes.
• Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of Building Code compliance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to stay informed about changing Building Codes.
