Duties
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with the care plan, including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. - Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Offer medications as directed by HCA regulations.
- Follow proper infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Ensure clients' rights are respected and upheld at all times.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding if needed.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
Skills
- 1-2 years of caregiving required.
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
