In-Home Caregiver (F/T & P/T Shifts)

Our caregivers do a variety of daily tasks that help people remain safely independent in their own homes as long as possible.

You must be ready and able to start work ASAP. We have shifts available that range from 2 hours - 12 hours based on your availability and currently have overnight shifts available as well.

All other details will be discussed during your interview and/or orientation.

We require a minimum of 6-months experience providing care to an aging or disabled person. This can be with an elder family member. Certified Caregiving Professional training is provided to all Midnight Sun Home Care staff.

Understand the limitations and needs of each individual client. Providing basic domestic services such as: meal prep, laundry, light housework etc. Provide companionship and engage in conversation with the clients. Run errands, either with or for the client, as needed (if approved in plan of care) Assist with mobility issues, wheelchair, walker, etc. Help with personal hygiene: brushing teeth, toileting, bathing etc. Provide a caring and positive environment for the client. Document/log client’s progress and overall wellbeing, for daily reports. *Tasks vary with each individual*

Must have reliable transportation, be able to lift up to 50 lbs., obtain a Negative TB Test, Pass a State of Alaska Background check, and must be able to read, have or obtain a CPR certification, write and speak English at an average adult level.

Pay is determined on experience.
