In Home Caregiver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a live-in caregiver to work part time in single family home in Greenville, NC for 3-4 days a week. Every other weekend is required. As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide essential assistance and support to individuals who require assistance with daily activities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life.

Duties:
- Remind and prompt clients to perform personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration
- Prepare meals
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings
- Engage in meaningful conversation and provide emotional support
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, but not required
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable transportation to travel to client's homes

Skills:
- Empathy: Ability to understand and share the feelings of others, providing emotional support to clients.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to ensure all client needs are met.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing schedules or client needs.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to observe and report any changes in client's condition or behavior.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.

Pay starts at $1,400/monthly. $700 bi-weekly. Private room and private bathroom inside master's suite. Full sized bed, dresser, and tv included.

LIVE-IN - You would stay in 24 hour shifts 3-4 days a week alternating days with other staff. There is adequate free time/off.

Job includes supervision, medication administration, meal prep, light cleaning, ADLs prompting and reminders

The job includes working with high functioning individuals with mental disabilities that are mobile & independent

CNA/caregiver experience is a must. Experience in mental health group homes are a PLUS.

Must be clean, honest, firm, hardworking, and compassionate

This job has alot of downtime but DOES require work/labor as you're dealing with individuals with mental illnesses/disabilities.
