We are seeking an Import Operations and Warehouse Specialist to become an integral part of our team! You will coordinate the shipment and distribution of goods, inspect goods and materials, track shipments, manage inventory, and communicate with customers and third-party service providers.
Import Operations Specialist Responsibilities:
- Follow air/ocean import operational procedures and ensure all shipments are handled properly and timely to avoid penalities like storage fees
- Processing customs paperwork, collecting documentation for imports
- Communicate with external customers to obtain missing documents or statements which are required for U.S. customs clearance
- Communicating with customs brokers and other individuals involved in international shipping to ensure that all documentation is accurate
- Daily tracking on air/ocean shipments if goods have been shipped or received
- Pay airlines charges such as Import Service Charges and breakdown fees in a timely manner and obtain receipts of all payments
- Collaborate with foreign suppliers and freight forwarders on corrective/preventive actions
- Coordinating with carriers to ensure all documentation is in order, including bills of lading and invoices, before releasing shipments from customs custody
- Perform all other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- You are authorized to work legally in the U.S.
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English is a plus, but not required
- knowledeable about the logistics industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask
- Strong attention to details
Warehouse Worker Responsibilities:
- Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Accepting delivery of inventory.
- Counting and confirming inventory.
- Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
- Communicating errors to relevant parties.
- Marking and labeling stock.
- Storing inventory in accessible manner.
- Loading and wrapping stock on pallets.
- Building loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack.
Qualifications:
- You are authorized to work legally in the U.S.
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English is a plus, but not required
- Work experience as general laborer, preferably in warehouse.
- Ability to operate forklift proficiently
- Available to work extended hours.
