This position in Wolters Kluwer's Global Law and Compliance Department provides overall support for the Immigration Legal function in North America with an emphasis on the United States. You will support the Human Resources department in the execution of immigration strategies through the management of filings and documentation to enable qualified foreign nationals to be employed by Wolters Kluwer in North America.
The position (a) plays a significant role in developing, implementing, and updating Immigration Legal processes, (b) supports immigration reporting, (c) manages the use of outside counsel, (d) oversees immigration matter management and budgeting, and (e) assists in other tasks and special projects related to immigration matters. In this hybrid role, you will report to Managing Legal Counsel. #LI-On site.
You Will:
- Support in-house immigration counsel to manage, prepare and respond to a high volume of communications regarding immigration processes and issues.
- Manage electronic tools and databases to assist in the efficient functioning of the Immigration Legal process.
- Prepare and file employment-based visa petitions and permanent residency applications.
- Manage communications with foreign nationals, various stakeholders in HR, recruiting, and others, as well as with the internal employment legal team, external counsel, and legal operations.
- Remain up to date on and maintain a knowledge base of immigration laws, policies, and regulations and communicate updates to in-house counsel.
- Prepare e-mails and "alert" memos on legislative, policy, and practice updates for review and sign-off by in-house counsel.
- Provide guidance and support to foreign nationals and HR colleagues regarding steps, timelines, documentation, and requirements to ensure seamless end-to-end immigration experience.
- Ensure initiation and completion of nonimmigrant visa extensions and permanent residency processes.
- Support in-house immigration counsel to develop internal immigration processes, approaches, policies, and procedures to improve business objectives and employee experience continually.
- You will work with immigration counsel to prepare informational "packs" on various immigration topics.
- Conduct legal research to identify solutions for complex immigration matters and effectively communicate solutions to foreign nationals and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate reporting and statistical analyses on Wolters Kluwer's immigration program.
You Have:
- Experience with H and L nonimmigrant visas and employment-based permanent residency processes
- Knowledge of immigration law and regulations in North America
- Experience with immigration management systems.
- Exceptional project management skills.
- Client service orientation.
- Proactively, prioritize problem-solving, and communicate effectively.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- Microsoft Office Suite applications proficiency.

Compensation:
Target salary range CA, CT, CO, NY, WA: $108,700-$152,050
