-Counsel and advise clients on immigration options
-Represent clients in immigration and Maryland courts
-Prepare immigration applications and supporting documentation
-Draft legal correspondence
-Conduct research on legal issues
-Assist the community in legal clinics and workshops
-Communicate with law enforcement, government officials, and other attorneys on cases
-Participate in CLE trainings on immigration and related topics
-Other tasks as assigned by the managing attorney
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Law degree (J.D.)
-Member in good standing of a state bar (preferably Maryland)
-Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)
-Strong legal writing ability
-Outstanding communication skills
-Proficiency in computer programs (including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook)
-Knowledge of immigration law, courtroom experience, or working with the immigrant community preferred
