St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID is seeking an IHT Service Desk Spec 2 to join our Information Technology team.
Unit/Position Summary
Under limited/moderate supervision, the IHT Service Desk Specialist 2 provides technical support to end-users for IT infrastructure and hardware, end-point devices, servers and applications.
Under limited/moderate supervision, the IHT Service Desk Specialist 2 provides technical support to end-users for IT infrastructure and hardware, end-point devices, servers and applications.
- Acts as a second level issue identification and resolution resource, including recognizing, researching, isolating and resolving information systems issues, answering questions, providing advice, troubleshooting, and following-up to assist users in solving their technical computing issues.
- Simulates or recreates user issues to resolve operating problems.
- Recommends systems modifications to reduce user issues.
- May interact with unified communications, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core issues.
- Coordinates user issue resolution with other support teams if necessary, and tracks and reports known and recurring issues.
- Documents and tracks issues via an incident and Known Error Database (KEDB) for problem management.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
- May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Education: Associates degree or experience in lieu of degree
