St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID is seeking an IHT Service Desk Spec 1 to join our Information Technology team.
Unit/Position Summary
Under direct supervision, the IHT Service Desk Specialist 1 provides technical support to end-users for IT infrastructure and hardware, end-point devices, servers and applications.
Under direct supervision, the IHT Service Desk Specialist 1 provides technical support to end-users for IT infrastructure and hardware, end-point devices, servers and applications.
- Acts as a first level incident identification and resolution resource, including recognizing, researching, isolating and resolving information systems incident, answering questions, providing advice, troubleshooting, and following-up to assist users in solving their technical computing issues.
- Simulates or recreates user issues to resolve systemic operating problems.
- Recommends systems modifications to reduce user issues.
- May interact with unified communications, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core issues.
- Escalates to technical, professional or service personnel for appropriate services, repairs, training and follow-up.
- Documents and tracks issues via an incident management and Known Error Database (KEDB).
- Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses skillset or entry level knowledge of subject matter.
