Title - Okta Systems Engineer
Location - Richardson, TX (hybrid remote with 3 days onsite)
Duration - 3 -4 months
Hours - Average of 20 hours per week based on work needs
Pay Rate - $45-50/hr W2
Responsibilities
- Integrating SSO with Okta as part of a data center migration to cloud
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions that support identity and access management
- Troubleshoot and resolve access-related issues and incidents.
- Integrate Okta with various applications, directories, and identity sources.
- Configure and customize Okta to meet specific business requirements.
- Work closely with application owners and teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Enhance security by implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA), SSO, and adaptive authentication.
- Monitor and audit Okta for security compliance and recommend improvements.
- Monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of Okta solutions.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues.
- Act as an escalation point for Okta-related incidents and support requests.
- Participate in on-call rotations to address critical issues.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in the Okta platform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 2+ years of IAM experience with a focus on Okata
- Okta Certified Administrator is a plus
- SSO Integration with Okta
- Strong knowledge of IAM principles, protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth, LDAP), and security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow and execute SOPs
