Hydronic Operations Manager
Kansas City, KS/MO
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Hydronic Operations Manager to lead and establish a new division within a mechanical construction contractor. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing hydronic system installation projects and possess a strong background in project management.This is an opportunity to shape and grow a new division from the ground up!
Key Responsibilities:
- Division Establishment: Lead the establishment of a hydronic division within the company, including hiring and training personnel, procuring necessary equipment, and developing operational processes.
- Project Management: Manage and oversee hydronic projects from prefabrication to construction completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Act as estimator and project manager on select projects.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a skilled team of hydronic professionals, including welders, technicians, and project managers, ensuring their performance, safety, and professional development.
- Contractor Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest quality standards are met in hydronic projects. Conduct inspections and review project progress regularly.
- Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and costs, making recommendations for cost-saving measures when possible, and optimizing resource allocation.
- Health and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and standards on all projects, maintaining a culture of safety and compliance.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize your HVAC welding tradesman experience to guide and support welding and fabrication activities. Knowledge of pre-assembly and skid-loading processes is essential.Utilization of BIM/VDC Software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in construction management or engineering
- Proven experience in establishing and running a hydronic division for a mechanical construction contractor.
- Demonstrated estimating and project management experience in hydronic and HVAC projects.
- Extensive HVAC welding tradesman experience.
- Strong knowledge of pre-fabrication, pre-assembly and skid-loading procedures.
- Proficiency in BIM/VDC software for project design and coordination.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Safety certifications and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
