Hybrid MLO-Mortgage Loan Originator (Outside Sales)
Overview:
Primarily responsible for maintaining company relationships with builders and realtors as well as accepting inbound calls from prospective borrowers and originating residential mortgage loans.
Job Functions:
1.Contact prospects and convert to applications:
a. Make outgoing sales calls on referrals from our builder partners and turn them into loan applications
b. Accept inbound sales calls from clients referred to us from our builder partners
c. Review and advise prospective borrowers on which loan product is right for their needs
2.Review and submit loan applications:
a. Prepare and complete and accurate loan applications
b. Collect and verify required borrower loan documentation
c. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all supporting documents
d. Submit complete and properly documented loan files for processing
e. Disclose loans and run the appropriate AUS for each loan
3.Production
a. Close a minimum of 3 Construction to Permanent loans per month
b. 1 Onsite Builder Visit or event per week
c. After 120 days, close a minimum of 5 loans a month
d. Growth quota’s will be updated annually and all builder events will be budgeted with the area Market Director
e. Maintain full and accurate loan pipeline updates in loan pipeline notes and origination systems
f. Manage all applications through closing
4.Communication
a. Effectively communicate with builder partners, realtors and borrowers regarding status of a loan transaction with clear expectations
b. Be excellent in your communication to these parties
c. Communicate effective notes and expectations to internal staff
d. Ensure all communication follows company policies and procedures and is conducted on company approved devices or systems
5.Compliance
a. Fulfill your fiduciary responsibility to both borrower and lender
b. Originate accurate and complete loan applications
c. Maintain required continuing education requirements
d. Be knowledgeable of all 1stSignature Lending products, policies and procedures
6.General Responsibilities
a. Effectively Communicate with borrowers and manage expectations through the whole loan process
b. Effectively communicate needs within the organization
c. Actively participate in the successful implementation of company initiatives
d. Cultivate a culture within the company of excellences, performance accountability and continuous improvement and teamwork
e. Travel to builder’s offices (travel in personal vehicle with required insurance. Reimbursed at the current IRS Milage Rate,)
Additional Job Requirements:
· Ability to work in front a computer for up to 8 hours per day
· High levels of concentration and cognitive reasoning with decision making abilities
· Ability to multitask and adapt to change
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn
· Available for travel on weekends as needed for builder events
· Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Reliable Transportation
· Maintain vehicle insurance that includes a rider for vehicle used for business purposes
