Location: Remote
Pay: $90,000 - $120,000
About Us:
We are a burgeoning software startup that has successfully secured our seed funding and have begun generating revenue. As we enter this exciting phase of growth and development, we are looking to expand our team with a talented and experienced Development Operations (DevOps) & Back-End Engineer. Our team operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and we're passionate about building innovative solutions that make a difference. As an early hire, you'll have a unique opportunity to shape the future of our company and our products.
Role Overview:
We're seeking a Development Operations & Back-End Engineer who is deeply familiar with Terraform, cloud infrastructure security, and best practices, and can also contribute to back-end product development. This individual contributor role requires someone who can manage our AWS cloud infrastructure while ensuring the integrity and continuous improvement of our back-end services and infrastructure repository.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead the strategy and implementation for our cloud infrastructure management, focusing on security, scalability, and best practices, predominantly within AWS.
● Oversee and optimize our infrastructure-as-code setup using Terraform, ensuring efficient deployment and integration of back-end services.
● Collaborate closely with the product development team to contribute to back-end development, particularly in areas that intersect with our cloud infrastructure.
● Manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable deployment processes for our software solutions.
● Proactively monitor and troubleshoot our cloud infrastructure and back-end services, ensuring high availability and performance.
● Drive the adoption of security best practices across all our cloud services and back-end applications.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with a solid understanding of cloud computing and infrastructure principles.
● Prior experience in a role involving DevOps and back-end development, ideally within a startup environment.
● Expertise in managing cloud-based infrastructure with AWS, focusing on services like Lambda, AWS Glue, DynamoDB, AppSync, and Step Functions.
● Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure-as-code management, and in Python for back-end development.
● Familiarity with serverless architecture and best practices for scalable, efficient cloud infrastructure.
● Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and the ability to think strategically about infrastructure and back-end integration.
What We Offer:
● Competitive salary and the opportunity to grow with a fast-scaling startup.
● Remote work flexibility, promoting work-life balance and productivity.
● A collaborative, supportive team environment driven by innovation and efficiency.
● Continuous learning and development opportunities in cutting-edge technologies and cloud infrastructure management.
