Hvac/R Service Technician

Local Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration company in Central Massachusetts is hiring!

We provide HVAC/R service and installation to business owners and property managers throughout Massachusetts. We have an immediate opening for a license HVAC/R Service Technician.

Essential Job Function:

• Provides service to our commercial customer base by repairing and overhauling equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices.
• Service and repair on refrigeration, heating and ventilation equipment
  • Air Conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, gas furnaces, compressors and electric motors
  • Single systems, small rack systems, display cases, and walk-in boxes
• Follow all safety procedures
• Support training of Apprentices

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
• 5 + years' experience in commercial HVAC and Refrigeration
• EPA Universal Certification
• MA Refrigeration License
• Experience troubleshooting various equipment and educating customers on repairs needed or replacement recommendations
• Experience with refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, gas furnaces and electrical
• Experience with single systems, small rack systems, display cases, ice machines and walk-in boxes
• Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, co-workers and management
• Experience training and supervising new technicians
• Good organization and time management skills
• Advanced customer service skills
• Proficient using tablet / computer for work orders, parts, timecards etc.
• Willingness to invest time in training seminars, classes and obtaining industry certifications / licenses we have an excellent education reimbursement program!
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pass background check and drug screen
• Certification from an accredited vocational technical or trade school

Job Title:HVAC/R Service Technician

Location: Middlesex County, MA.

Pay Scale: Up to $55.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday thru Friday
• On call rotation

Educations:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• HVAC trade school / vacation school

Certifications:

• MA Sheet Metal License
• NH Gas Fitters License
