Role and Responsibilities
The essential roles and responsibilities are outlined below:
- Assist the senior-level HVAC technicians.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
- Understand the basic refrigerant cycle, typical components, basic troubleshooting, and typical maintenance procedures.
- Ability to identify HVAC equipment and components of HVAC equipment: Packaged, Split,
WSHP, Chiller, Tower, Pump.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic electro-mechanical devices
- Understand the basics of air distribution systems and how they operate.
- Direct company representative to the customer; communicate with both internal and external customers.
- Inventory parts, materials, and labor per job
- Be responsive to supervisor and dispatcher.
- Complete all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Abide by basic safe work practices.
- Observe, report, and correct unsafe work environments or behaviors.
- Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Ability to show up on time, ready to work, and in uniform
- Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers. Must alwaysprofessionally represent MSS.
- Must show a proactive can-do attitude.
- Ability to identify and use hand tools
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must successfully pass a background check.
