About Us
STS Technical Services is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician (FST) to provide on-site support for the Cold Weather, All-Terrain Vehicle (CATV) for the US Army, US Army National Guard, and Reserves. This new system replaces the Small Unit Support Vehicle (SUSV). The ideal candidate will be capable of providing comprehensive maintenance and support services for all CATV models.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform initial mechanic training through the US Military or a civilian automotive/heavy truck institute.
- Execute general maintenance on CATV vehicles and systems, including drive train, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC.
- Enhance basic skills through hands-on learning, coaching, and mentoring.
- Provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance support in both garrison and field environments.
- Perform warranty claim repairs, modifications, upgrades, and retrofits on CATV vehicles and sub-systems.
- Maintain basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and government contract requirements.
- Work effectively as a team member following guidance, and independently when required.
- Perform maintenance tasks in extreme cold weather conditions for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Military Maintenance MOS training with at least 4 years of service in heavy track, wheel, or engineer equipment MOSs with a military grade E-4 or higher, or civilian training through an automotive or heavy truck certification program with 4 years of experience.
- US Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain a valid US Passport.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Eligibility for a US Government-issued Common Access Card.
Preferred Qualifications
- Military Maintenance MOS training with at least 6 years of service in heavy track, wheel, or engineer equipment MOSs with a military grade E-5 or higher.
- Civilian training through an automotive or heavy truck certification program with 6 years of experience.
- OSHA Training (10-Hour Safety Course).
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Military Maintainer MOS training or civilian automotive/heavy truck institute training.
