AppleTree Staffing is searching for an HVAC Service Manager for an industry leader in Johnson County!
The Service Manager is responsible for providing the necessary leadership to plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and control their department to meet the needs of customers. Additionally, this position is responsible for implementing general policies for the department in guidelines with the policy and procedures manual.

General Responsibilities –
- Must use and follow the weekly Service Manager priority list.
- Responsible for all recruiting/hiring/firing/training and staffing decisions – per approval from Paul or Ron
- Responsible for executing all commercial work being executed. Helping keep the commercial techs Up To speed with the Signed Maintenance agreements and install work as developed.
- Responsible for coordinating and working with Comfort Advisors and the sales team.
- Ensure proper billing and reporting of all activities.
- Maintain positive morals and attitude during the slow and busy times – be an example of our “Mission Statement” no matter what
- Help develop all the employee's skills, coaching, with a focus on improving them as people.
- Responsible for all service calls for HVAC – this needs to be reviewed with the office manager every afternoon at 4 pm for the following day.
- Responsible for suggesting raises/discipline/staff level
- Responsible for coordinating time off with Dispatch/PTO’s/On Call
- Responsible for all Tech’s and Installers following dress code/appearance standards
- Responsible for the cleanliness of all the trucks
Training Responsibilities –
- Coordinate new technology/keeping up with the industry training
- Follow up with the Service Technicians about all current and future software/system changes
- Complete ride along’s (or as many as necessary to ensure proper productivity) every week and have the paperwork in the technician's personnel file.
- Follow up with the Install Teams and technicians weekly to ensure proper quality/speed of install
- Thorough and complete tune-ups/clean and checks/service calls
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Team Leader or Service Manager
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a professional and technical level
- Have an excellent knowledge of the plumbing industry
- Be a self-starter and utilize a proactive approach to achieve goals
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

JOB TYPE: FULL TIME

PAY RATE: $75K-$100K/Year based on experience
