Service Manager will oversee daily area operations and manage technicians to ensure we meet our customers’ needs. They are responsible for directly managing Lead Technicians/Field Supervisors for the trade services we self-perform.
- Oversight of all self-performed work from your branch, including, but not limited to:
o HVAC, Electric, Plumbing, and General Services.
o Temp HVAC equipment rentals.
o Assisting with surveying and quoting projects.
o Perform site visits to ensure technicians are performing as expected and that clients are happy with our service.
o Assist head office with addressing and rectifying any client issues in your area.
o Work with Corporate Recruiters on hiring as needed.
o Assist with building vendor database for subcontractors.
- · Work with HR on technician absences to ensure they are recorded in the system properly.
- · Train technicians in both field and office settings for the following, including but not limited to safety, job performance, paperwork/Work Order forms, site surveys.
- · Manage branch vehicles for: o Safe operation.o Maintenance. o Updated paperwork. o Truck Stock. o Company Tools. o Perform disciplinary actions up to, and including, working with HR on employee terminations. o Handle overflow service calls and assist with installs as needed based on branch workload.· Manage all aspects of self-performed jobs which include but are not limited to: o Dispatching for projects. o Dispatching for service calls. o Watching labor hours and costs. o Controlling unapplied labor. o Keep unapplied labor to 5% or less. o Make sure actual hours are equal to, or less then, quoted hours.
- 5+ years of HVAC field experience.
- Previous experience in service management roles.
- Universal EPA certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge with advance principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills for cell phone communication and documentation.
Working conditions encompass both normal office environment and field/site work. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. This position will require telephone availability 24/7 (unless other arrangements are made) from clients or on-call for emergencies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $92,500.00 - $110,000.00 per year
