Form of workFortis, Industries dba: Logistics & Technology Services, Inc is interviewing for the part-time position of HVAC Mechanic in the St. Louis, MO area.
The following are key responsibilities associated with this position:
- Knowledge of contractual requirements and creation of schedules to maintain properly skilled staffing levels to satisfy those schedules.
- Utilizes TSheets timekeeping daily, logging in and out for lunch.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and maintain organization.
- Maintains, repairs, and ensures all equipment is in proper working condition including HVAC systems, water treatment systems and emergency generator systems and various other mechanical systems.
- Ability to replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, replacing sinks, water coolers, toilets, equipment; repairing or replacing floor tiles, replace paneling, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken windowpanes, and perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Ability to be certified in backflow prevention devices.
- Orders replacement items through purchasing and works with vendors regarding repairs to existing equipment.
- Submits receipts on a weekly basis to the corporate office for processing.
- Perform any additional duties on an "as required" basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual responsibilities.
- Issue reports and summaries as required.
- Maintain appropriate records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes.
- Resolves clients' concerns, conducts follow-up calls and makes onsite visit inspections for satisfactory job performance.
- Create estimates as needed. Helps with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- The HVAC Mechanic will have 5+ years’ experience in the Operations & Maintenance of building operational systems including HVAC, Fire Suppression Systems, Environmental (to include Oil Water Separator Servicing) and Water Treatment procedures.
- The HVAC Mechanic will be proficient with MS Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project), possess outstanding written and oral communication skills, and be willing to travel, as necessary.
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in the Operations & Maintenance of building operational systems including HVAC, Fire Suppression Systems, Environmental (to include Oil Water Separator Servicing) and Water Treatment procedures
- Valid Driver's License
Rate of Pay: $26.15 plus $4.41 for Health & Welfare
