This is a federally funded time-limited (FFTL) position. This means it is a position that is paid entirely as the result of a federal grant. The duration of employment shall not exceed the life of the federal grant that funds the position. An employee appointed to an FFTL position is required to meet the minimum requirements for the classification. Further, an employee appointed to an FFTL position is designated as an unclassified (non-merit) employee. An FFTL employee is eligible to receive benefits at the same level as a classified (merit) employee in a permanent position.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and supervises adolescent health and Title V staff, including overall supervision of professional staff in the execution of adolescent health and Title V education and outreach programs and initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal guidelines.
- Analyzes program operations and strategically plans for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Evaluates the performance of professional staff, including direct supervision.
- Approves leave and overtime requests, monitors attendance and approves time sheets, makes recommendations for disciplinary actions, investigates and takes appropriate measures consistent with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with all program standards and personnel guidance.
- Provides guidance and technical assistance to professional staff in state and local agencies as necessary.
- Create, update, or cause to be created and updated, standard operating procedure manuals, staff development and ensuring compliance.
- Monitors the financial status of the section.
- Reviews budgets, contracts, and expenses for accuracy and compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Coordinates the preparation and timely submission of federal grants and administrative reports.
- Directs the research and compiling of state reports as scheduled or upon request.
- Compiles, or directs to be compiled, section administrative, operating, and programmatic records and reports.
