Pay Rage: 90,000.00 - 110,000.00 (Salary-Exempt - Annually)
SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, provides professional Human Resources services in the areas of Training and Development, organizational development and employee relations, Provides consultation to all levels of employees. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.'s standards, policies and procedure. This role is responsible for outlining and enforcing service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans, organizes and directs a wide range of training activities. Implements training programs and compiles materials for various training programs covering an array of topics, including new hire orientation, training as required by state and federal laws, and Development courses for supervisory and management staff.
- Works with the HR team to create, evaluation, update the New Hire Orientation. Conducts NHO as needed in partnership with HR team.
Performs needs assessments property wide to determine approach to meeting company objectives and strategic plan via program content development and optimal delivery methods.
Evaluates and monitors departmental, position specific onboarding and training materials.
Consults with executives, managers and supervisors to develop performance criteria and improvement measures. May set up training programs to assist with maintaining, or improving employee skills.
- Communicates compliance of required training to department heads and individuals. Track all compliance requirements for all departments.
Completes documentation of training within the various systems.
- Coordinates special programs, employee events, and/or projects and may be involved in the development of programs and/or conduct presentations on issues relating to the area of expertise.
- Assists with the creation of new job descriptions and/or revises existing job descriptions relating to position requirements and company training initiatives. Conducts research, reviews qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities. Monitors and updates position descriptions as needed.
- Addresses employee concerns by conducting investigations regarding discipline and complaints, preparing reports with findings, and consulting with Human Resources Director and department managers on the matter.
- Analyzes and resolves routine issues regarding polices and procedures. Reviews policies and procedures and makes recommendations regarding appropriate action to be taken.
Communicates information on various Human Resources programs available to employees. Responds to general questions from employees regarding all programs offered.
- May coordinate or conduct various annual internal and external audits. Ensures compliance regulations are met, recorded and submitted as required to various entities.
- Maintains and ensures confidentiality of all HR information including but not limited to employee personnel, applicant and department files, employee data base and human resource reference guides.
- Develops and maintains community/industry contacts and networks for best practices and updated processes. Interfaces with all levels answering inquiries and providing appropriate information to authorized persons/agencies.
Remains current regarding changes in federal, state and city or county employment laws.
- Ability to assist the HR office for all employee questions.
- Other duties may be assigned.

The Human Resources Training and Development Specialist provides a link between Human Resources and our managers and employees, ensuring that our employees in a healthy and productive work environment. This is accomplished through various means: ensuring appropriate training is conducted and documented, policies and procedures are maintained and followed, employee concerns are handled in an appropriate manner, and our systems and programs are maintained and upgraded to meet the needs of our employees and customers.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four‑year college or university and/or Certificate in Human Resources; three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, memos, business correspondence, training guides, standard operating procedures and policies. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred, written and verbal fluency.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Proficiency in various Microsoft software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Canva, Outlook), HRIS, report generation and office automation. Excellent communication, public speaking, organizational and time management skills. Multi-task oriented with well developed management techniques. Must display professionalism, good judgment and diplomacy in interactions with others. Must maintain confidentiality of all Human Resources matters and documents.
