We currently have an opportunity for a detail-oriented, forward-thinking individual who shares our vision of helping girls and young women change the world for the better. Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington seeks a seasonal, part-time Human Resources Specialist.
This position will work 10-15 hours per week from May 6 through August 20. This position is primarily remote. We prefer a candidate who is willing and able to traveloccasionallyto office and camp locations in Oregon and SW Washington. The schedule is negotiable, based on the selected candidate's availability and meeting business needs. We are accepting applications through March 10th.
What You'll Do
You'll support recruiting, onboarding, and payroll for our busy summer season.
Responsibilities
- Support recruiting, as requested, including scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and processing job offers.
- Coordinating new hire onboarding, including assigning onboarding tasks and follow-up to ensure timely completion of tasks. Calling and emailing onboarding new hires to follow up.
- Seasonal staff hiring tracking.
- Input new hires into the payroll/Human Resources information system (HRIS).
- File personnel records in the electronics records management (EDM) system.
- Timesheet tracking, follow-up, and hours reconciliation. Prepare seasonal staff timesheets for payroll processing.
- Checking I-9 documents, completing and filing I-9 forms, requiring occasional in-person attendance during seasonal staff onboarding days.

- Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.

The Details
- Compensation -Non-exempt, hourly, starting at $21 to $25 per hour, depending on experience, plus $1.25 for Spanish language skills at a conversational level or better.
- Benefits -Paid sick time, per state requirements. Employee assistance program (EAP).
- Hours -Part-time, 10-15 hours per week, schedule negotiable. Seasonal from May 6 through August 20.
- Location -This position is primarily remote. You must live in Oregon or SW Washington. Occasional travel to other locations to support onboarding is preferred.
