Pay: $53,473.92
Qualifications:
Must demonstrate the following which may be obtained through work experience as a Human Resources professional or through completion of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, communications or closely related program:
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources and personnel administration
- Knowledge of employment laws related to employee rights, protections, and benefits
- Knowledge of employee feedback, performance management, and investigations
- Knowledge of supervision of team members
AND
1+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources
(Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant)
Examples of Work:
- Collaborate with Administrator and department management on personnel planning, personnel matters, and human relations activities
- Make recommendations regarding personnel policies, procedures, and transactions
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and benefits, such as Americans with Disabilities, Family and Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, discrimination, and workers compensation
- Participate in employee development activities such as new employee orientations, supervisory trainings, and other Human Resources matters
- Investigate employee complaints
- Make recommendations to department managers regarding effective counseling and discipline
- Maintain organizational charts and position controls
- Supervise staff assigned to timekeeping, recruitment, and personnel/medical file functions
- Participate in the development of budget estimates for personal service
- Oversee the supervision, recruitment, retention, performance management, discipline, instruction, and feedback to the Human Resources staff.
