Job Description:
The HR Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of HR operations independently. This role encompasses a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and talent development. The HR Manager plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s growth and success through strategic HR initiatives and effective HR management.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives. Proactively identify HR priorities and address organizational needs.
- Recruitment: Manage the recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending job offers. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and attract top talent to the organization.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues. Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and confidential manner.
- Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Coordinate with benefits providers and brokers, conduct enrollment sessions, and assist employees with benefit-related inquiries.
- Training and Development: Identify training and development needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
- Employee Engagement: Implement initiatives to promote employee engagement and retention. Plan and coordinate employee events, recognition programs, and other activities to foster a positive work culture.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and regulations. Stay up to date on changes in legislation and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
- 5 years of experience in HR roles with a focus on benefits administration, recruitment, and employee relations.
- Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and regulations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred but not required.
