Tongue Point Job Corps Center is looking for a Registered Nurse Supervisor to work on-site. Our RN's provide direct and indirect wellness services and treatment for students. If you like to work in a fun environment and work for a director who allows you to do your job - this is the place for you!
Essential Duties:
Plan, coordinate and supervise the nursing functions of the department. Coordinate nurse substitute coverage.
Assist the health and wellness director, to provide staff training, evaluate nurses' performance, and recommend and implement nursing and personnel changes as approved by the director and coordinated with the manager prior to implementation.
Develop and implement new and revised policies, procedures, and programs affecting delivery of nursing services.
Render first aid treatment and assist physician in treating serious accidents or illness.
Treat minor injuries and illnesses according to physician instructions as authorized per healthcare guidelines.
Cleanse and dress wounds, operate emergency equipment, and provide follow- up nursing care as required.
Prepare and administer specified medications.
Assist in developing programs to prevent or control diseases and accidents. Assist in developing and maintaining the center's health and wellness facility.
Conduct medical exams and obtain laboratory samples.
Assemble health charts and maintain health records and maintain medical supplies.
Requirements: Active, unrestricted Oregon Registered Nurse license. Three (3) years of nursing experience required. Must possess and maintain a current CPR and first aid certification. Supervisory experience preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required. Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
