Premier Pools & Spas builds new construction residential swimming pools in the greater Sacramento and Central Valley area. Premier Pools has approximately 270 members on the team ranging from Construction, Sales, Office Staff (i.e. Accounting, Scheduling, Admin Assistants, CAD, etc.) and Field Technicians. Premier Pools & Spas is looking to hire for the following position:
Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for coordinating and performing people-related service, policies and programs. This position reports to the Owner and Operations Manager; assists and advises company managers about Human Resource issues. The Human Resources Manager will lead Human Resource practices that provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes the company’s core values and work-life balance objectives. The Human Resource Manager will manage a Payroll Technician and should have a strong understanding of processing payroll and payroll compliance.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
· Processing payroll and payroll compliance
· Recruiting and staffing
· Regulatory Compliance (Cal OSHA, Safety Programs, Etc.)
· Employee on-boarding, development, needs assessment, and training
· Policy development and documentation
· Employee relations
· Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
· Employee services and counseling
· Benefits administration
·Submit and manage Workers Compensation claims
Specific areas of concentration are:
· Maintain the Human Resources Policies, Documentation, Services
· Ca Wage and Hour compliance and documentation
· Oversight of Employee training programs
· Lead the performance management and review system
· Oversight of the recruiting and hiring practices
· Coaching of company supervisors in their communications and interaction skills with employees
· Investigations for safety, injury or other employee complaints
· Progressive discipline
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business or Management
· Specialized training or certification in employment law, training, and employee relations
Desirable Skills:
· Employment Law
· Strong written and spoken communication skills
· Employee coaching skills
· Experience in the administration of benefits programs
· High level of confidentiality
· Excellent organizational skills
· Work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
· Strong computer skills
· Fluent in both Spanish and English
