An HR Manager who is energetic, engaged, efficient, strategic, an effective leader and a people enthusiast. As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department for a Full-Service Hotel as well as administrating Human Resources functions and programs including but not limited to, employment practices, recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, employee recognition/employee engagement, risk management and policy interpretation. You will align the Human Resources function with the overall strategy of the hotel operation and corporate initiatives.
The Key Responsibilities:
- The HR Manager provides leadership and guidance to all team members in their area to help create and lead our Radiate company culture. They will lead and organize hotel initiatives and directives while being the role model for our company's three core pillars: authentic, humble and committed.
- Reports to the Corporate Director of HR with a dotted line to General Manager/Regional Director of Operations and is responsible for tasking their team with accomplishing any goals and directives as assigned.
- Must attract, select, train, and develop key general staff. Individuals in this position will need to plan and organize various leadership and key skill development sessions for applicable team members in the area.
- Develop best practices, educate team members and management, as well as new team members on HR policies and procedures. They should also ensure that the area's team members adhere to all forms of the said Human Resources policies.
- Must be comfortable facilitating workshops as well as leading meetings and presenting data.
- Must have excellent communication skills and have a general understanding of the full scope of business, not just Human Resources.
- Oversee timely processing of paperwork associated with transfers, promotions, training, termination, and new hires.
- Investigate HR issues and enact disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Train new team members on HR guidelines and facilitate implementation of new policies.
- At time-to-time translation will be required
- Must be willing to travel between properties and corporate office as needed.
The Model Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent job experience.
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
- 2-5 years of Human Resources experience.
- 1-3 years of hotel experience preferred.
- Hospitality industry experience preferred.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
