As a Human Resources Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our business. Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain personal and professional credibility throughout the organization with management and employees as an effective listener, communicator, and problem solver who is responsive to and proactive about their needs.
- Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
- Ensure adherence with all Federal, State and local employment regulations.
- Establish HR as an available and collaborative partner to executives and management who respond to them in a timely manner with accurate information, can answer their questions, guide them in management of staff, and provide advice and support to ensure legal compliance in all employee dealings.
- Processes new hires, changes, termination, and extended leave forms. Ensures that all employee data including benefit and wages are accurately maintained in HRIS and other systems.
- Prepares monthly HR reports as needed.
- Acts as benefit administrator on all employee benefit programs providing employee assistance in enrolling, terminating and/or modifying coverage. Provides payroll with appropriate deductions, reviews and processes billing and account reconciliations.
- Engage employees with potential Workers Compensation (WC) situations in a timely manner, and work with WC agents to ensure every case is handled, tracked, and resolved appropriately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A relevant HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
