We are searching for a Human Resources Generalist who possesses strong values, a great work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for people.

The primary responsibility of the HR Generalist is to assist all non-exempt candidates and employees through the employee life cycle of interviewing and on-boarding to orientation and training. Focused on attracting top talent, this position collaborates with both internal and external sources to find the best candidates and share with them why they want to be a part of our team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Coordinate all non-exempt recruiting activities, including updating job postings, screening applications, and conducting interviews.
• Conduct new employee orientation and extended onboarding programs.
• Record new hire information in the HRIS system, assemble and distribute the appropriate paperwork and create personnel files.
• Develop and maintain relationships with employment services, such as Workforce Development, employment agencies, online job boards, and organizations who can refer qualified applicants, especially qualified candidates to meet Affirmative Action, Veteran, and ADA guidelines.
• Develop effective relationships within colleges, universities, and the community to build a referral network and pipeline of qualified candidates.
• Assist with preparation and execution of employee training programs as well as ensure completion of training programs and activities.
• Work with department representatives to create, maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain and update required reporting to Department of Labor including EEO-1 report, Affirmative Action Plans, Veteran and Disability Status, Vets 4212 report, etc.
• Develop and maintain employment practices and procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations, as well as bank policies and objectives.

Required for this position: Excellent relationship building and communication skills.  Passion for recruiting, knowledge of HR laws and reporting requirements, and an ability to explain policy and procedures. High level of attention to detail, advanced organizational skills, self-motivation, and demonstrated teamwork.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 4 year college degree or related work experience
• 2+ years of HR experience
• Understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and best practice
• Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail required
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel
• Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed
• Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
• Service-oriented, polite, and respectful
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently until project completion

HOURS:

Regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
