Requirements:
• 10+ years’ experience as a generalist in HR
• Experience in Property Management a plus
• Must have knowledge of Payroll Processing using Paycom, HR laws, FMLA, CFRA requirements
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, excellent communication (verbally and written).
• Must be able to work with confidential information and must consistently exercise good judgment in dealing with a variety of situations.
• Ability to interact effectively with team members across all levels of the company.
• Follows and enforces policies and procedures.
• Must be intermediate or advanced in MS Office (Excel, Word,)
• Must be able to frequently adjust focus
• Position requires a professional, self-starter with the willingness to be flexible recognizing that our staff members are our most valuable asset
Responsibilities:
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related day to day functions. Coordinates and performs work in assigned HR functional areas including but not limited to:
• On boarding: Reference checks, background checks, scheduling pre-employment requirements, new hire packages, orientation and file maintenance.
• Benefits Administration: Coordinating annual open enrollment and new hire enrollments.
• Leaves of absence: Determine the type of leave employee request, create necessary paperwork and administer from beginning to end.
• Employee relations: Handles employee relations, investigations, employee counseling, follow-up and closing HR issues.
• Worker’s Compensation: Report injuries to insurance carrier and follow-up on open injuries.
• Terminations: Creates termination packages, exit interviews and processes any termination of benefits.
• Payroll processing using Paycom
• Employee file maintenance: Ensures employee documents are properly tracked and maintained.
• Participates in administrative staff meetings.
• HR related projects and initiatives throughout the year.
• Miscellaneous: Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Full time, $90 to $100k, Benefits including Medical, Dental, 401K
