Duties
- Onboarding and Recruitment
- Review new employee information imported from Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to HRIS to ensure information is accurate and complete
- Coordinate the Onboarding Mentorship program
- Review applicants from job postings to determine viable candidates
- Create new hire processing folders for all new employees and attach information to those files
- Assist in preparing and inputting reference checks
- Work in collaboration with the Manager, Talent Acquisition to schedule and conduct initial Microsoft Teams interviews upon the request of the hiring manager
- Help educate hiring managers on how to effectively utilize the Applicant Tracking System
- Proof job descriptions and post to Applicant Tracking System
- Schedule follow up interviews for hiring manaqers and the Manager, Talent Acquisition and Vice President, Talent Management
- Support Manager, Talent Acquistion with all projects related to recruiting and onboarding
- Event Planning
- Plan and schedule monthly and annual events for staff
- Oversee, coordinate, and execute details of events
- Communicate with vendors on specifications of orders, contracts, and event details
- Purchase all items necessary for events including gifts, supplies, food, and drinks
- Coordinate set-up and take-down of each event
- Safety Program
- Implement and monitor safety programs, including ergonomic assessments, workplace inspections, and safety improvement initiatives
- Support the development and maintenance of emergency response plans including updating employee emergency contact information in the HRIS
- Organize safety training sessions and communication initiatives for employees
- Track and document safety incidents and analyze incident data to identify root causes and trends
- Responsible for investigating, documenting and tracking work-related injuries and taking corrective measures to prevent a recurrence following OSHA recordkeeping/reporting
- Responsible for documenting COVID incidents and return to office communications and governmental reporting
- Stay informed about safety regulations and standards relevant to the industry and location of the organization.

- Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs
Qualifications
- Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
- Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources or relevant work experience
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong in time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and HR-related software
- Solid understanding of HR processes and guidelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations and practices and experience in implementation and administration of safety programs and protocols
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable
Compensation for this position is $27.00 - $30.00 per hour (This is a hybrid position- Mon, Tue, Thu in office - Wed, Fri remote)
