The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting HR operations and collaborating with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to ensure the efficient administration of HR programs, processes, and projects. This position involves educating employees on HR policies, providing counseling when necessary, and producing HR analytics to report on people initiatives and trends. The HR Generalist is also responsible for managing the employee life cycle, including data entry, communication, and report compilation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. HR Operations/Collaboration with HRBPs:
--- Partner with HRBPs to provide general information on various HR operational matters.
--- Educate client groups on the company's Code of Conduct and HR policies, offering counseling as needed.
--- Collaborate with HRBPs and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to efficiently administer company-wide HR programs, processes, and projects.
--- Facilitate communication between employees and corporate HR COEs, including benefits, compensation, and recruitment.
--- Collaborate with Regional HRBPs and HRGs for project workflow coordination.
2. Analytics & Reporting:
--- Produce HR analytics to report on people initiatives and trends related to assigned organizations.
--- Prepare furlough and RIF (Reduction in Force) reporting analytics with detailed information on each employee's separation or transition.
--- Generate detailed reports for employee transfers and provide analytics for segment transitions.
--- Ensure all service levels related to analytics and reporting are met or exceeded.
3. Employee Life Cycle:
--- Manage Workday data entry for the assigned employee population, including new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, reporting changes, salary changes, title changes, and other employee changes.
--- Prepare and distribute communications related to employee changes, job descriptions, and employee queries.
--- Respond to employee and HR internal queries received in the shared services inbox as needed.
--- Assist in compiling reports for other HR functions or business units as requested.
--- Ensure the appropriate and timely execution of agreed organizational designs, including employee changes, relocations, mobility, separations, and communications.
Requirements:
--- Undergraduate/bachelors degree in HR or related field preferred.
--- 2-4 years demonstrated experience in an HR or Administrative function
--- Workday or other HRIS system experience a plus.
--- Tenstreet and HireRight or other applicant and background processing systems experience a plus.
--- Experience with Labor Union
--- Understanding of local laws and guidelines related to employment practices for California
