Human Resources Generalist

Position Overview:

The Human Resources Generalist will perform a variety of tasks to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resources Team.

Principal Dutes and Responsibilities:

• Assists with all areas of the Human Resources function including staffing, benefits, leave, and payroll
• Partners with the Talent Acquisition Manager to prepare for orientation and setting up new employees profiles/accounts
• Prepares account set up, orientation material, and schedules for smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments
• Assists with scheduling interviews and pre-employment screenings as needed
• Reviews HR shared inbox daily and respond to employees in a timely manner and/or forward the email to the appropriate HR team member to respond
• Prepares separation letters
• Assists the Benefits + Leave Specialist with mailing correspondence and preparing for annual open enrollment
• Verifies insurance records in compliance with company policies
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Supervision Recieved:

This position will receive direction, supervision, and regular performance evaluations from the Director, Human Resources.

Supervision Excercised:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Working Conditions:

• This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Operating in an open office environment, this position is full-time, expected to work 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, although there is some flexibility on start time. Availability during common business hours is a must while outside normal operating hours may be required on occasion.

• Remaining stationary for long periods of time. Ability to move objects up to 25 pounds from one location to another frequently or occasionally.
• Having ability to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; accessing information from a computer terminal.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in HR or related field preferred
• Minimum of two years of experience in HR
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to converse with employees of diverse background through the phone, in person and in email
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• HRIS experience required
• Comfortable working on-site, in an open concept office setting

Preffered Skills:

• Bilingual
• Paycom experience
