POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist will support and work directly with ORTEC America’s HR Director to ensure effective and efficient operations of daily functions within the Human Resource department.

Tasks/Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment process including alignment with hiring managers, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, performing initial interviews, and preparing offers.
- Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verification.
- Ensure smooth onboarding process for all new hires: Create internal accounts, conduct orientation training, coordinate with IT and management, etc.
- Enter, verify, and process payroll (via ADP) to ensure error-free semi-monthly payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation, including tracking of yearly budget.
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately to meet monthly KPIs.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include benefits broker.
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
- Coordinate and collaborate with marketing team to increase employer branding opportunities.
- Propose ideas, budget, timelines, etc. for execution of ORTEC’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiative.
- Supports the planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, etc.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Requirements:
- Must be eligible to legally work in the USA
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
- 2-5 years of experience in the HR field.
- Excellent Excel reporting skills utilizing VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.
- Proficient with ADP payroll management, applicant tracking system (ATS), human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Experience creating new policies and guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work in an international environment
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The office has an open concept.
