Holladay Park Plaza is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Director with outstanding people skills to join our leadership team and ensure our programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned for our nonprofit retirement community. The Human Resources Director is responsible for oversight and management of the Human Resources department which has purview over approximately 200 people. In this position you will play a highly active role in initiating, maintaining, completing and supporting all Human Resources initiatives, processes, and strategies.
Holladay Park Plaza (HPP) is an affiliate of Pacific Retirement Services (PRS), which specializes in the operation of non-profit CCRCs and provides support services for all aspects of our communities, including Human Resources. As a Human Resources Director, you are part of a bigger Human Resources team that includes 12 different communities in 6 different states.
What You Will Do:
- Proactively partner with the operations team to implement programs, processes and solutions
- Lead community talent acquisition initiatives with regional recruiting support
- Manage employee relations, internal investigations and performance management
- Provide strategic management as integral part of the community leadership team
- Design and implement Human Resources Policies and programs in alignment with the Company's mission and values
- Direct benefits administration, employee education and annual enrollment process
- Oversee Workers' Compensation and Return-to-work Programs
- Responsible for Risk Management and Legal Compliance within state and federal laws
- Research, analyze and manage community compensation program and strategy
- Facilitate, coordinate, and manage supervisor training, management coaching and leadership development
- Supervise the Human Resources Partner
- Help create a team building program and enrich the company culture (recognition systems, milestone celebrations, engagement, etc.)
About You:
- Five (5) years' experience as a Human Resources professional with background across all disciplines: talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, recognition, benefits, employee relations, employment law, and compliance.
- Demonstrated progressive leadership experience as Human Resources professional managing others. Multi-site management experience preferred. Prior experience in retirement living, healthcare settings, and/or in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; Master's degree strongly preferred.
- Current Human Resources Certifications (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, HRCI-SPHR, or HRCI-PHR).
- Prior experience supporting a team of 250+ employees
- Organized strategic thinker with ability to do big picture analysis.
- Collaborative individual who is able to effectively communicate complex Human Resources regulations to management and front-line staff in an accessible way.
- Knowledge of current developments in Federal and Oregon Employment Law. Extensive experience in Oregon Wage and Hour laws.
- Experience with Oregon Workers' Compensation regulations and processes. Experience with Benefits Administration and ACA administration and compliance.
