What you'll do
The HR Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to leadership for assigned teams, assisting with staffing, workforce planning, career development, training, organizational design, analytics, change management, and performance management. The HR Business Partner aligns HR policies, processes, and resources to support business objectives, caregivers/practitioners, and leaders across assigned teams. Serving as the on-the-ground side-by-side and the first point of contact for HR, the HR Business Partner provides support to caregivers/practitioners and leaders working to:
  • Advocate for Bassett Healthcare Network employees to drive engagement and align with our culture.
  • Support leaders in effectively building and leading teams of productive and engaged staff and support leaders as they leverage Talent Acquisition, Employee Health, Compensation, Benefits, Retirement, and Education teams, HR tools, and processes.
  • Serve as support during HR strategy implementations.

In this capacity, the HR Business Partner will provide comprehensive HR support and serve as an advisor to leaders on HR-related issues including policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Builds and maintains a strong business relationship with assigned teams, acting as the primary point of contact for caregivers/practitioners and leaders.
  • Provides employee relations advice and support, serving as counsel between management and employees as required. Conducts thorough and objective investigations, partnering with the Director, HR Business Partners as required on complex investigations. Advises and coaches leaders through performance management, conflict resolution, disciplinary and grievances, exit interviews, and terminations. Monitors employee relations within assigned teams for trends and determines appropriate action plans for improvement.
  • Collaborates with the HR colleagues and assists leaders with needs in the following areas:
  • Talent Acquisition: Partners with leaders by developing job descriptions, assisting in position approvals, HR metrics related to hiring, and as required, contributing to leadership interviews. Participates in the onboarding process of new hires.
  • Total Rewards: Partners with leaders to provide compensation and benefits support, deferring to the subject matter experts in compensation, benefits, and retirement as required. Serves as the first point of contact to caregivers/practitioners regarding compensation and benefits questions.
  • Learning, Development & Education: Partners with leaders and Education to ensure the timely completion of mandatory education. Partners with Talent Management to develop and present learning & development courses on HR-related topics.
  • Employee Health: Provides tools and support, including EAP programming, to caregivers/practitioners and leaders as required.
  • Provides guidance and interpretation of HR policies, processes and procedures. Contributes to the development and implementation of HR strategies that may result in improving productivity, integration, efficiency, engagement and retention.
  • Speaks to HR metrics, developing appropriate measures and action plans based on findings.
  • Develops communication plans and ensures timely caregiver / practitioner and leader communications which support HR updates and to foster open communication and engagement.
  • Ensures all HR related documentation and templates are current and compliant.
  • Ensures entities meet HR compliance standards, as established by regulatory bodies.
  • Assists with the performance appraisal process, providing guidance and acting as an advisor to leaders in composing and delivering appraisal feedback.
  • Actively identifies gaps, proposes solutions and implements changes necessary to manage risk.
  • Builds relationships with internal stakeholders and other colleagues to create learning opportunities and share best practices.
  • Leads assigned projects and/or committees, as required to support HR network functions.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

What we need from you
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or similar, required. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Master's Degree preferred

Experience:
  • At least 5 years of HR experience required, and should include full employee life-cycle experience, including at least 1 year of work in Employee Relations

Physical Requirements:
  • Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking or standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus up to:
USD $2,500.00
Pay Range
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
Pay Range Minimum:
USD $38.24/Hr.
Pay Range Maximum:
USD $57.36/Hr.
