Position Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for the Human Resources needs and implementation of best practices to support the achievement of corporate business objectives. Performs administrative, strategic, and planning duties. The HR Business Partner will represent the employee and the company and assist with employee relations matters and performance management. Also accountable for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations for HR/PR policies, processes, affirmative action, etc. This position requires a highly perceptive person capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization, building relationships, and establishing credibility with employees from a wide range of teams/departments. The HR Business Partner must be able to balance overall corporate needs, employee support, and the ongoing operational needs of the company while maintaining compliance with all HR regulations.
Human Resources Business Partner Responsibilities:
- Handles routine labor relations and human resource inquiries related to policies, procedures, and bargaining agreements; refers complex matters to appropriate management staff.
- Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints.
- Tracks employee corrective actions and partner with the Sr. VP of HR to make recommendations to management team for corrective action & continuous improvement. Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment or discrimination.
- Analyze compensation package trends to ensure industry competitiveness and employee retention. Compare jobs against the industry’s market information to verify competitive compensation offers. Build and maintain reporting and compensation metrics
- Provide Spanish translations for Spanish speaking Team Members
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least five years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist
- A SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Experience with Union negotiations
- Able to travel within the Midwest
- Highly skilled in knowledge of U.S. labor and employment laws.
