We are looking for an energetic, creative Human Resources Assistant to join our work family at the Burlington Finishing Plant (formerly known as Burlington Industries). Job Responsibilities:
- Interpret and monitor adherence to Company HR policies, procedures and controls throughout the assigned group including international plants and offices. Coordinate the implementation of HR programs for employee relations, health and safety, training and development, and compensation and benefits. Participate in the development of new policies and programs designed to meet changing HR needs.
- Assist HR Manager on HR activities designed to promote and maintain positive employee relations in coordination with division and corporate guidelines.
- Prepare basic payroll functions weekly.
- Assist HR Manager on promoting and support the use of HR systems and personal computer applications. Assure that proper security and confidentiality procedures are maintained. Review staff procedures to assure compliance with Company policies and procedures for computer usage.
- Maintain accurate and consistent employee files.
- Coordinate recruiting efforts, including pre-employment procedures, post-offer procedures and onboarding procedures.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with federal, state and local agencies affecting employees in the assigned group and in coordination with corporate guidelines.
- Stay abreast of trends and developments in Human Resources for application in the assigned group. Recommend changes to management as appropriate.
- Perform additional job-related duties and complete special projects as assigned.
