Selectee will work from an approved alternate worksite within the same geographic location as the regular worksite. The selectee does not report to the regular worksite on a regular and recurring basis. Selectee may be required to assist at on-site events such as, Rapid Hiring Events and In-Processing at military treatment facilities in Ft. Belvoir and surrounding areas.Qualifications:
Position is a GS-06 level with promotion potential to a GS-07 level. The position may be filled at either a GS-06 or GS-07 level. If selected at the GS-06 level; noncompetitive promotion to the next grade level is authorized; pending time in grade requirements and demonstrated ability to perform at the next higher/target level grade duties.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirements for GS-06 level:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing customer service to walk-ins, emails or telephonically; providing clerical support to staff (i.e., writing correspondence, maintaining files, consolidating reports, etc.); and inputting and/or retrieving data using an automated system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
Basic Requirements for GS-07 level:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting administrative duties in support of a Human Resources program utilizing standardized Human Resources rules, procedures, and operations to accomplish routine support within the organization; providing customer service to walk-ins, emails or telephonically; and inputting and/or retrieving data using an automated system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
