Position Overview: Responsible for providing timely and accurate administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Primary job responsibilities include: 1) HR Data entry and record keeping including assisting with auditing DOT driver files, FMLA forms and tracking, and workers compensation tracking, 2) Provide assistance to employees, applicants and customers, 3) Prepare and maintain logs, reports and documents pertaining to recruiting, hiring, and promotions, 4) Maintain up-to-date physical/electronic employee files: general employee file, medical file, performance/warnings, and worker's compensation database, 5) Verify accuracy and reporting of temporary workers timecards with approvals. 6) Ensure the onboarding process is complete and accurate, and entry into HRIS system. 6) Schedule HR appointments with employees as necessary including phone interviews, and 8) Maintain adequate supply of HR materials and forms. Requirements:
- Minimum of four years of general administrative / office work experience which included personal computing, data entry and management of multiple tasks & priorities.
- General knowledge of Human Resources function, administrative procedures and systems, and general business practices.
- Strong working knowledge of personal computing, including software products such as Windows, EXCEL, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make responsible decisions.
- Ability to exercise discretion and high levels of confidentiality and personal integrity.
- Personal Qualities: Must be a "self-starter" and team player with a work ethic that can be described as "always looking for ways to improve people, processes and systems".
