Job description

Mount Angel Towers is looking for an HR Manager to support the Executive Director and Department Managers. In this role, you must work well with other managers, have experience placing job advertisements, screening applicants, updating employee information, conducting performance reviews and/or disciplinary actions, as well as processing payroll, taxation forms and benefits.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting, training, and retaining senior focused employees
  • Organize and execute a hiring and onboarding process
  • Regularly audit new hire and existing employee files to ensure accuracy
  • Gathering required payroll data including timesheets, W-2 forms, benefits information, direct deposit forms and tax filing documents.
  • Manage medical and dental benefits sign up process and ongoing administration
  • Manage payroll submissions for 5 departments
  • Work with authorities (i.e. IRS) on audits or requests
  • Process financial compensations or deductions
  • Track and submit accurate information to Workers Compensation Insurance provider
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state rules and regulations
  • Accurately document performance issues, provide coaching, and terminate if necessary
  • Help build a positive team work culture

Ideal candidates will have the following skills and abilities:

  • Ability to work on multiple projects, track progress, and work with minimal management oversight
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong computer skills: various platforms and applications (WORD, EXCEL, PPT)
  • Detail oriented and able do administrative tasks associated with HR, Payroll, Record keeping
  • Strong employee coaching skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Maintain a professional approach to working with HR related matters
  • Self-motivated to get projects completed

Qualifications:

  • Understand medical and dental benefits administration
  • Must pass the Oregon Division of Human Services criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • HR associate degree and/or previous HR experience required

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
