Job Summary:
As a Human Resource Specialist at Granite Automotive in Rapid City, South Dakota, you will play a crucial role in the success of our business by supporting all aspects of Human Resource management. In this individual contributor role, you will be responsible for assisting with recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and other HR related tasks. Your expertise and knowledge in HR policies and procedures will help ensure compliance and promote a positive work culture for our employees. This is a full-time salaried position in the fast-paced and dynamic automotive industry.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Facilitate the recruitment process by creating job postings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and assisting with the selection and onboarding of new hires.
- Assist with employee relations, including addressing employee concerns, conducting investigations, and promoting a positive work culture.
- Work closely with management to develop performance management plans and assist in coaching and counseling employees.
- Maintain and update employee records and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Coordinate and administer employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve HR processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- SHRM or HRCI certification is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of employees.
- Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy development.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
