SUMMARY

The position of HR Market Leader is responsible for performing a variety of routine HUMAN RESOURCEs clerical duties; prepares new hire documentation; performs new employee orientation; processes employee times cards; issues, receives and distributes mail and correspondence; gathers data and compiles various reports for management; photocopies materials; maintains files; orders supplies; answers the telephone and assists with employee questions or inquiries; and promotes and maintains good employee relations. This position will provide HR support to designated markets and will be responsible for various HUMAN RESOURCE functions in those markets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Assists in interviews for openings in the market.

2. Prepares new hire documentation and insurance forms.

3. Performs new employee orientation to review onboarding forms for employee signature.

4. Processes employee time cards ensuring information is accurate and complete; assists in payroll preparation.

5. Composes, prepares and issues correspondence such as internal memorandums and letters to employees.

6. Increases retention by boosting morale.

7. Gathers and calculates data and prepares a variety of monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management; ensures reports are accurate, complete and prepared on schedule.

8. Provides effective employee service and relations; assists in resolving employee problems, questions or inquiries.

9. Maintains a high level of confidentiality; tabulates and posts data in employee files and record books; sets up and maintains a variety of central files and journals.

10. Routes incoming and outgoing mail and reports.

11. Types routine letters reports and forms.

12. Performs routine clerical duties such as copying, faxing, and ordering and distributing supplies.

13. Travels to other branches maintaining a positive attitude, improving morale, and answering any HR related questions.

15. The employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations and orders issued pursuant to the OSHA Act of 1970, which are applicable to one’s own actions and conduct.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

The position of Human Resource Market Leader is not responsible for the supervision of any employee(s).

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The position includes driving a Bank or personal owned vehicle as needed, which includes exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.

The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.

The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, smart phone, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), check protector, scanner and image systems, scanning equipment, encoder, money counter, credit card terminal, typewriter, computer terminal, laptop computer, personal computer, tablet, printers, or other equipment as directed.

MENTAL DEMANDS

The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate to reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, training, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

· Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from a Two-Yearcollege or technical school; or Four Years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of a HUMAN RESOURCEs or clerical background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.

· Basic knowledge of HUMAN RESOURCE and labor laws and policies.

· Effective social skills to deal with employees on matters of a confidential or sensitive nature.

· Basic knowledge of general office practices.

· SHRM-CP certified preferred.

· At least one year of HUMAN RESOURCE management experience preferred.

· Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; host computer system; word processing and spreadsheet software.

· Basic typing skills to meet production needs of the position.

· Basic math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent.

· Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, train personnel, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports, correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.

· Ability to deal with simple problems involving multiple facets and variables in standardized situations.

· Good organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.

· Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
