  • 3AM is our content innovation studio. We use insights to identify an audience & how to immerse them into a world, then turn stories into participation-first content and experiences (social campaigns, original content, experiential, etc.)
  • Wild Card Editorial & Skip Films create the opening line (trailer, a/v assets), the moment that invites the audience into the story.

Purpose
The Human Resource Director acts as the Head of HR for Wild Card Creative Group. The Head of HR is a versatile, analytical, data-centric, highly motivated, and dedicated individual who thrives on solving complex challenges, fostering innovation, and enabling the company to achieve its business objectives. This individual will be instrumental in overseeing all aspects of HR operations & strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in compliance, operations, talent acquisition, and has a demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA). The Head of HR is not afraid to get into the weeds on problems x-functionally to ensure leaders and their teams remain aligned with the broader vision of the company. This role will oversee a team of three and report directly into the CEO.
Location: Culver City, CA - This position is Hybrid
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 3 HR professionals with various HR functions including talent acquisition, HR operations & compliance, payroll, learning & development, benefits, company culture.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO providing counsel on all people and HR matters while maintaining the utmost confidentiality and discretion.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace by developing and implementing initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Employ a highly analytical and data-centric approach in decision-making processes, ensuring equity and fairness across the company's operations, policies, and initiatives through comprehensive data analysis and informed strategies.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with company objectives and optimizing team structures to meet business needs.
  • Proactively assess the development needs of teams and employees, offering recommendations and implementing tailored solutions that empower employees to excel and drive growth.
  • Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with both leaders and employees.
  • Own HR strategies throughout all stages of the employee lifecycle, encompassing attraction, recruitment, onboarding, engagement, development, retention and separation.
  • Work closely with the CFO for all labor planning.
  • Manage all employee relations matters within the context of performance management, conflict resolution, investigations, and employee concerns, while proactively devising strategies to address emerging trends within the industry.
  • Liaise with outside counsel, when necessary.
  • Bring people data to power by owning HRIS & ATS systems ensuring optimization, analytics and data is readily accessible and 100% accurate at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all HR-related laws, regulations, and company policies. Maintains, develops and enforces HR policies that comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Responsible for all required compliance reporting.
  • Own broker relationships for both 401k and benefits plans. Ensuring offerings are competitive within the marketplace.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies with Recruiter to attract and retain top-tier talent.
  • Manages a 100% compliant LOA management process
  • Ensures ADA Compliance, including interactive process and documentation
  • Assist in planning all cultural events within the organization.

Required Skills
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 of those years as an HRBP or HR Manager.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices including State and Federal labor law
  • Exceptional Excel skills to generate comprehensive people data spreadsheets, conduct labor planning analyses, and facilitate data-driven HR decision-making processes.
  • A proactive mindset, unafraid to voice innovative ideas, challenge the status quo, and collaborate across departments to drive improvements and advancements that benefit the company's overall success.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and the capacity to inspire and influence at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and composed demeanor even in high-pressure situations, fostering an environment of stability and clear decision-making.
  • Track record of building and deploying People systems, tools and processes, including multidimensional organizational structures
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to articulate value-based solutions to complex business problems.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with teams to resolve complex people related challenges at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with maturity and confidence in working with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Pay Range
$150,000 - $200,000 USD
