Lunchtime Solutions, a leader in school food management, is seeking a Human ResourcesBusiness Partner who is passionate, eager, curious, and resourceful. The person in this role will take on a variety of tasks – anything from administering benefits to being a resource to our Operations leadership with team member relations. You’ll join our talented and growing Human Resources team at our home office in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Partners with the Director of HR to develop and communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
  • Provides guidance to supervisors on team member Leaves of Absence (PTO, FMLA, Jury Duty, Bereavement) and manages Leave of Absence programs.
  • Assist with team member questions/complaints and work with department managers to resolve issues.
  • Act as a resource to Operations Leadership on team member performance issues – documentation, meetings, advising, disciplinary notices and communications.
  • Develops and provides various training and team development activities as needed to accomplish training objectives established by HR and other departments.
  • Manages administrative side of Workers Compensation, including identifying trends and opportunities to improve. Be an active member of the Safety Committee.
  • Serves as the Cobra Administrator and ensures compliance with COBRA guidelines by preparing letters and other paperwork as directed. 
  • Administers health insurance, 401K, and related benefits plans including enrollments and terminations. 
  • Maintains team member handbook and works with HR Director and team to make updates as necessary.  Reviews bi-annually and assists in rewriting the handbook as necessary.
  • Potential travel to school districts based on company need

Skills/tools you’ll need so you are set up for success:
  • Degree in Human Resources strongly preferred, SHRM-CP certification a bonus. The equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to foster our company culture and live our values when working and supporting team members.
  • Familiarity with employment-related state and federal regulations required.
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Microsoft Excel and Word software. Previous HRIS experience is a plus.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
  • Attention to detail in following processes and procedures, auditing and running reports, etc.
  • Must be organized, able to establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written, phone, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
