About You:
Are you a Human Factors Engineer who wants to bring your experience in civil aviation certification to an advanced autonomy company whose priority is developing the world's best human-machine team? The advanced autonomy program will identify, develop, optimize, verify, and certify the look, feel, and response of the flight deck towards certification of Merlin's advanced technologies.
The Role:
- Coordinates with internal and external Human Factors program stakeholders
- Provides primary communication and coordination regarding HF in certification across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
- Engages regulators, specialists, designers, and suppliers to identify and clarify HF-related certification requirements with the system design process.
- Coordinates with regulators to establish and coordinate positions, identify, and address issues, and develop paths towards certification.
- Plan and execute analysis, simulation, and flight testing in support of certification.
- Produce certification related documentation in support of compliance showing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a B.S. in Engineering, Human Factors, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of civil aviation certification experience
- Experience with Parts 23, 27, 25, or 29 aircraft
- Experience in human-in-the-loop evaluation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bonus:
- Experience with a Human Factors program from initial civil certification planning to final compliance showing.
- Direct experience with 25.1302 compliance demonstration
- Operational experience in a technology-intensive, safety-critical environment
- 10+ years of industry experience in HF or human-centric system design
